Get started
Ensure packaging was not tampered with.
Inspect the terminal (see below).
Connect the cable on the back of the terminal and close the cover.
Turn on the terminal by connecting it to a power source.
Go into settings menu (password: pax9876@@) and:
Select Network & Internet. Then connect the terminal to your network.
Select Connected devices, and configure your connection preferences to your ECR system.
Activate your terminal, either:
Manually through Pay On Site application (see Activation).
Or remotely from your ECR.
Test the connection to Market Pay server.
Test the connection with your ECR.
Inspect the device
Check that the box containing the terminal(s) was not tampered with.
Verify that the serial number (S/N) on the box is the same as on the terminal
Check whether there is tampered message on the display after power up.
Check the security seal, circled in red in the image, is intact.
Check for missing or damaged screws.
Check for incorrect or redundant keyboard overlays, suspicious objects inserted or around card reader and magstripe or additional wires.
If you detect anything suspicious, contact our customer support team immediately (support_commercant_mpt@market-pay.com) and isolate the terminal. It must not be used.
