Contactless payment (with PIN)

Introduction

Depending on your country's legislation, your customers will be required to enter their PIN code for a payment to be processed.

For instance, the maximum amount that can be paid without a PIN code is 50 euros.

Please note that digital wallet payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay) are exempt from this requirement as the security checks will have already been performed on the customer's phone.

How to accept a payment with a PIN

1. Enter amount

On the Home page, enter the amount you would like to charge and select Charge.

2. Select payment method

Select Contactless.

3. Accept payment

Now, the customer can hold their payment means against the device.

Depending on the device you have, the NFC antenna could be in different areas.

When positioned correctly, a loading screen will appear.

4. PIN check

Hand over the terminal to your customer so they can enter their PIN code.

This step won't be required for the customers who pay with their Digital Wallet (Apple pay, Google pay, Samsung pay).

5. Provide payment receipt

Once the transaction is accepted and processed, you'll have an access to a receipt that can be shared with the customer via QR code or sent by e-mail.
