Tap to Pay on Android

🚀 New features

Partial refund on Tap to Pay Android

Partial refunds are now supported on Tap to Pay Android.

Merchants can now choose between a total or partial refund when processing a transaction. The refund flow remains the same: a manager initiates the refund, enters the amount to be refunded, and the customer confirms it by presenting their card to the terminal.

Key details:

  • Manager authentication is required for partial refunds, just like for total refunds.

  • Partial refund transactions are recorded in the transaction history.

  • Once a partial refund is processed, the original transaction cannot be refunded in full. Only the remaining balance can be refunded—either in full or in part.

Partial refund functionality must be enabled in the app configuration. To activate it, please contact your account manager.

Transaction cancellation on Tap to Pay Android

Transaction cancellation, previously only on Payment Terminals, is now also available on Tap to Pay Android. Merchants can now request a cancellation directly from the SoftPOS app, preventing the transaction from going through clearing and settlement—helping reduce chargebacks and improve transaction management.
